A collection of some of soul, ska, rocksteady, and reggae tracks recorded by West Indian musicians who immigrated to Canada in the 1960s and ‘70s. Recorded between 1967 and 1974, the album features incredible cuts from JO-JO & THE FUGITIVES, EDDIE SPENCER, JACKIE MITTOO, LLOYD DEPRATT, COUGARS, JOHNNIE OSBOURNE, RAM, BOB & WISDOM, SHEIKS, WAYNE McGHIE, HITCH-HIKERS & THE MIGHTY POPE, and NOEL ELLIS. Sixteen tracks in all, packaged with a 36-page booklet with band interviews, etc.
