“Effortlessly skips from rough & tumble rock not entirely unlike Miss Alex White to pulsing droney electronics not too dissimilar from Pan Sonic. Add in the fact that there are YouTube videos that serve as accompanyment and you've got one weird, schizophrenic art-rock opera on your hands.

Uli
“In my top ten albums for the year - simple sad-man post-country bumpkin tales of down-and-out......a continuation of mellower early Dream Syndicate.
”Uli
“Dubby playfulness like an arcade game for bubble dancers...
”Uli
“Bordering on Cumbia but executed with blistering fast cutting-edge elektronichs.
”Uli
“Epic dubbed orchestration for the whole family; chillaxed but still still butt-jerky.
”Uli
“"Der Pedro" is back with cracked remixations of his current family tree.
”Uli
“Britney Spears without the papparazzi or pomp - perfect AM radio pop.

Uli
“Chief Surgeon Biafra still operating without a license; nice.
”Uli
“I like the Denver sound. I like Swedish accents. I like this.
”Uli
“Sad-girl fragile buttercup folk-pop played climbing a tree.
”Dave
“Those familiar with the pedigrees of these twin towers might be expecting a relentless assault without precedent, and while "four arms" does have it's crushing moments, the true surprise is how serene it is while remaining somewhat frantic - like watching torrential rains from a warm dry spot.
”Dave
“The a-side is fairly traditional light and breezy french folk music, sweet & soothing, good for tea drinking and novellas. Then things get a little weird. I lack the words to describe it but think Brigitte Fontaine/Areski during a royal ball in medieval times.

“Classic re-issue of Sparks-worship!
”Doyle
“Echo-y codeine-laced vocals with early JAMC-sounding blown out guitars and drums.
”Doyle
“Re-issue of this Melbourne quartet's fantastic debut whose sound references the Fall and the Stooges.

“In my opinion, a modern classic. Imagine a guitar-playing meteor covering "Music for Airports" in an attempt to woo some sort of lunar siren. Equal parts shred, dread, and gleam. I always play this one for friends who just don't get this whole noise thing.
”Toppe
“Specifically the 16-minute track "For a Small Blue Orb". A radiant, chiming piece recorded on Tiesco 6-string.

“Yeah, there's a lotta this junk coming out lately - lo-fi, garage pop...sneers, fuzz, and gunk. But this is the one LP that really caught my ear, not sounding like another Oh Sees clone but having instead a grumpy un-fun feel beneath its bright guitars. Not the party record of the year but way more interesting as a result.

Dave
“Like some weird rhythm robots invaded Tito Puente's basement and set about to have the ultimate robot fun-fest. Sincerely odd but really compelling!

Dave
“2+ years after its release and I'm still playing this one CONSTANTLY. Imagine if Seefeel and MBV combined to make an arena rock record...propulsive drum-beats mix with warped guitars and synths only to get whipped to a frenzy by female vocals that are has harmonious as they are disorienting. Highly highly recommended!
”Dave
“This Bay Area trio gets constant comparisons to the Raincoats but I think DC-trio Quix*o*tic is a much more apt model - like the Billotte sisters before them, Grass Widow crafts songs showcasing their gift for both melody and harmonies without turning their back on their punk upbringing.
”Dave
“Any attempt to summarize the plot of this would be like describing the taste of a hug - completely irrelevant. What you need to know is that it looks beautiful, and the sounds accompanying this home-movie-ish tour through Switzerland are both inventive and compelling. My favorite scene has Voice Crack utilizing iron rebar, drum sticks, violin bows, and other various construction tools to pull a wide array of sounds from a thick tightrope. If you're one to ask "what's the point" or "what does it all mean," this movie is the cure for what ails ya.

“This has to be my favorite mix of all time, the ultimate proof that the DJ is every bit as much of a "music maker" as those hard working folks playing "real" instruments. New and old, East and West, mainstream and underground, soul and techno come together in the course of this amazing record. If there is one man out there capable of making all of these bits and pieces work so well, that man is surely Mr.Rupture. Turntable terrorist, indeed.
”Cristian
“The unstoppable force of nature named Melt Banana, with their "pop" record. Try singing along.

“For fans of Television...that's everybody.
”Mike Doyle
“4-track ambient instrumental circus music that utilizes echoes, loops and delays to great effect.
”Mike Doyle
“Wunderbar messed up post-punk-psych.

“These guys combine the fuzz-stomping confidence of the VU's "Can't Stand It Anymore" with the sensibility of the early Hardcore Devo compilations. Their ballad version of Creature In the Cave sounds like it could have been an extra track off John Cale's "Vintage Violence". See them live if you can! They all change instruments and most of the time are just dancing around.
”Toppe
“The sweet lush production just barely masks the bitter lyrics. For fans of Black Box Recorder or The Sundays.
